LONG COURSE METERS
Long Course meters championships is this weekend at San Jose's
Independence High school. Come down cheer your team mates on or help
with the events

HELP IS NEEDED IN MANY AREA - Timing, registration, refreshments and
other jobs. Pacific Masters depends on its volunteers, if you can
help (if only for an hour or two between events) contact Dale Finch at

Results of the meet should be on the web site by Sunday evening.
RESULTS LAKE SONOMA
The preliminary results of the Lake Sonoma Open Water Swim have been
posted on the Pacific Masters web site.

We are aware that there may be a problem with the results not
correctly taking into account the which wave the swimmer is in.
UPCOMING EVENTS
PACIFIC MASTERS OPEN WATER CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2001 Pacific Masters Open Water Championships will be held in
Santa Cruz the first weekend in August. Medals will be given to the
top five finishers in each age division.

UNITED STATES MASTERS LONG COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS
This year USMS Long Course Championships will be held in Federal Way,
Washington. Just a short flight north. The on-line deadline is July
15th, 2001

Coaches school at LCM Nationals
There will be a coaches school there A MACA Coaches Certification
School and Seminar will be held Wednesday, August 15, from 1 to 5 pm
at the Aquatic Center. All Masters coaches and swimmers are welcome.
Cost is $40 ($35 for MACA members). For information and a

TRANS TAHOE RELAY
The Olympic Clubs Trans Tahoe Relay is the Saturday the 21 of July.
DOLPHIN CLUB INTO TO BAY SWIMMING
Mark your calendar for The Dolphin Club's Annual Introduction to Bay
Swimming will be held at the Dolphin Swimming & Rowing Club, 502
Jefferson Street, San Francisco, CA on Sept 9, 2001 ( Sunday ), at
noon.
PETALUMA MASTERS SWIMMING UNDERWAY
The Petaluma Masters Program kicks off on Monday July 9,coached by
Patrick McMillan, who has coached high school teams and age group
swimmers in the Petaluma Swim Club.
Here's the schedule:
Mon. Wed. Fri. 5:30-7:00 a.m. @ the Petaluma Swim Center
Mon. Tue. Fri. 5:30-7:00 p.m. @ Petaluma High School
Thurs. 5:30-7:00 p.m. @ the Petaluma Swim Center
Sat. 6:30-8:30 a.m. @ Petaluma High School
Petaluma Swim Center is located at 900 Washington St, just west of
Highway 101. Petaluma High School is located at 201 Fair St.
NEW MAIL LIST MANAGER
You may notice from all the different headings in the email headers
that there is something different in the Update. The Pacific Masters
Update is using a new mail list manager. With over 8,700 subscribers
to the Update there is no way to send out a weekly email with out
automation .
The user interface should be easier to use - if you want to
subscribe, unsubscribe or send the list moderator a message there are
web pages where the changes can be made or email addresses to send
the changes. This should make it easier for the user to make his/her
own corrections/additions.
