UPCOMING EVENTS
SAFETY TRAINING FOR SWIM COACHES
Mills College will have Safety Training for Swim Coaches on Sunday, 
November 11, 2001 8am to 1pm. To attend you must pre-register by 
November 5th so all the books and supplies will be available. Call 
510/430-3351 to register.

BAY AREA INVITATIONAL
Mills College will be having a Bay Area invitational on Friday, 
Saturday November 2 and 3rd. This is a recognized meet. For those who 
would like to compete against college athletes, this is the meet. 
Information about the meet will be posted on the Pac Masters web site.

SWIM CLINIC
Gail Roper passes this along: Brooke Bennett and Ultimate Swim 
Clinics will be giving a swim clinic at Indian Valley College Pool in 
Novato on November 3, 2001 from 12-4 pm. All swimmers are invited. 
The cost is $35.00 if you pre-register by Oct. 26 anf $45 later or on 
site.  Each swimmer will receive an autograph, a Speedo goodie bag 
and group instruction.  Space is limited to the first 200 swimmers. 
More information can be had by calling Piranha Swimming at 
707-524-4363.

This clinic is mainly for USA swimmers but all swimmers, parents and 
coaches are welcome.  It will be a 4-stroke clinic, mental 
preparation, secrets to excelling and dryland training.

RESULTS
The results of the Pacific Masters Short Course Meters Championships 
have been posted. Congratulations to Laura Val, Lee Rider, Susan 
Jones-Roy, and Robert Strand for beating the current world records.

High point team went to Walnut Creek Masters, with Menlo coming in 
second and newcomer Burlingame Masters in third place.

The 1500 Meter Short Course Championship was held in Healdsburg and 
the results have been posted. The results were revised 10/26/01. 
Thanks to Theresa Wistrom, Kerry O'Brien, John King and all the 
volunteers whose efforts make the pool meets possible.
