PACIFIC MASTERS SWIMMING ANNUAL MEETING
The biennial election of officers occurred at the annual meeting. The
Committee voted for
Chairman: Doug Huestis
Vice Chairman - Administration: Rick Windes
Vice Chairman - Operations: Barry Fasbender
Secretary: Joan Alexander
Treasurer: Clarine Anderson
At-Large: Michael Moore
Each of the officers will serve till December 2003.

COACHES CLINIC
Pacific Masters will sponsor coaches who attend the January NorCal
Clinic in Napa with a 50% scholarship. Mike Collins from Irvine
Novaquatics Masters and
Doug Garcia from Washington State University Masters are the featured Masters
Track speakers. More details are available at the NorCal Swimshop's website

look for the Pacific Coaches Clinic link. There is no Masters info
posted on the site yet the update is pending final arrangements.

There is a lot of good information there and coaches will meet the
best coaches in the Pacific LMSC and LSC area. It is a great way for
experienced coaches and new coaches to find out what is going on with
other teams and to renew friendships.

OFFICIALS CLINICS
The 2002 Pacific LSC Officials Clinic will be held January 5th 2002
in Alameda. Clinics are open to ALL Pacific Swimming officials and
individuals interested in learning about swim meet officiating.
Completion of these clinics and the follow-up sessions will satisfy
the clinic portion of the Pacific Swimming Officials Certification /
Re-certification requirements for the stroke and turn, starter,
referee. More information will be at:

Sierra LSC will be holding their annual re-certification clinic for
officials in the month of January - time and place are not yet

LAST MEET OF THE 2001 - RENO WINNERS MEET
The Reno Winners meet took place on Saturday.Thanks to Steve Lintz,
Gwen Shonkwiler and the Sierra Nevada Masters who put on the meet.
Also a salute to all the swimmers who made the drive over the hill.

TAMALPIAS POSTAL MILE
The first event of the 2002 is the Tamalpias Postal Mile. Swimmers
can swim the mile any time between January 1, 2002 and February 28,
2002 and you can swim it in your own pool.

NEW YEAR - TIME TO RE-REGISTER
It is December, time to re-register for the 2002 Pacific Masters. The
form to re-register is on the web at:

(if you use the web form, you can type in the information and print
it out from your computer).
If you are changing clubs, with the annual re-registration you can
change clubs and compete for your new club without waiting 60 days or
paying the extra $2.00 fee.

MORE OFFICIALS CLINICS
The SASO Swim Club is sponsoring a Fairfield Clinic. Looking at our
calendar, it will be on Thursday, December 6th. It will be at the
Solano Athletic Club in Fairfield on Dover Ave.
DIRECTIONS FOR THE SOLANO ATHLETIC EAST CLUB
From Sacramento take highway 80 to North Texas exit. Go left over
freeway to first stop light (Dickson Hill). Turn left on Dickson
Hill to next stop sign (Dover Ave.). Turn right on Dover, club will
be on your right.
From Bay Area take highway 80 East to Air Base Pkwy/Waterman Blvd.
Exit and go right on to Air Base Pkwy. Second stop light turn left
on Dover, club is aprox. 1 mile down on your left.
THE STARTING TIME WILL BE 7:00 PM.

The Turlock Clinic
Our next clinc will be in Turlock, California on December 8th. The
start time is 8:30. Here are the directions to the Endsley/Coldwell
Banker office at 331 E. Main Street, where the clinic will be held.
From 99 - Take the Taylor Road Exit (1st Turlock exit from the
north), turn east and proceed under the freeway to Golden State Blvd.
(1st light). Turn right onto Golden State Blvd. and proceed about 4
miles into town. At the Main Street stoplight (about the 6th
stoplight), turn left onto Main Street (this is heading north).
Proceed two blocks. Endsley & Associates will be on the left side
of the street near the second stop sign (corner of Main and Palm).
You may park on the street or turn left onto Palm and then left into
the "rear/off street" parking area behind the Endsley building. We
will be meeting in the large conference room in the rear of the
office.
