JOE IRVINE (3/11 - 3/03)
Joe Irvine passed away in his sleep last week at the age of 91. Joe 
had been a member of the Rinconada Swim team for over 25 years said 
coach Carol MacPherson. Every five years he teamed up with his 
friends from Texas to compete Team Texas has two National records.

RICONADA SPRING MEET
The results from the Riconada Spring meet held at the Spieker pool on 
the Menlo Atherton High School pool are now posted. Thanks to Jim 
Shaw, Carol MacPherson and the Riconada Masters who put on the meet. 
Chris Kanazawa stopped by with her four month old daughter.

The pool length has been certified so the swims there will count for 
top ten and national records


UPCOMING MEETS:
SCAM MEET
The Strawberry Canyon Aquatic Masters meet is Saturday March 22.  The 
Spieker Pool length has been certified. You may enter on the day of 
the event.

The SCAM meet is the last meet before championships.

SHORT COURSE NATIONALS
The on-line application for the USMS Short Course Nationals should be 
ready by the end of February. The  I have read that all the hotels on 
the shuttle have been booked. The on-line registration may be 
available this week.

BECOME A MEET OFFICIAL
Clinic #4 - Redding, California
     This clinic will take place on Saturday March 15, 2003.  It will 
be held at Shasta College and probably will start at 9:00 AM.  I will 
have more information on this clinic soon.  If you need any further

TEAM LISTS
The team list report is now working. The individual look up is also 
working. A new feature of looking up people by first name and a fuzzy 
search are also available. Thanks to Doug Putnam, Fog City swimmer 
and lane mate who made the improvements.  Thanks Doug.

UPDATE DORE SCHWAB
 From Nancy Ridout "Dore has moved to Tamalpais Creek,  The address 
there is 853 Tamalpais, Novato, CA  94947.

He had a good PT session yesterday with a Kaiser PT and she'll return 
on Friday.  He wants a more rigorous rehab program so he can be 
independent again.  His spirits remain high and he enjoys everyone's 
visits, cards, and calls.  Keep them coming!

BTW, Dore's birthday is this month, the 27th.  He'll be 81. "
