RESULTS ALAN LIU MEET
The results for the Mountain View Masters Alan Liu
meet are posted. Thanks to Chris Campbell, Laura
Schuster and all the Mountain View Masters for putting
on the meet. This was the last SCM meet of the season.

You can only find the results of the mens 1500 in the
splits. I am trying to get a good copy.

UPCOMING MEETS
Tuolumne County Aquatic Masters is having its first
Short Course Yards meet, Saturday October,30th and the
first SCY meet of the season. This meet will be held
in Sonora, California This is the first Masters meet
in Sonora, California and we wish them well.

CHANGE TO BYLAWS
Change to PMS By-Laws To be voted on at the Pacific
Masters Annual meeting November 17th.

Section 103.3H Standing Committees 

c. Equipment: (DELETE) The committee is responsible
for maintaining the PMS safety signs and
stopwatches.(end Delete) This committee shall be
responsible for the maintenance of PMS Safety Signs,
Stopwatches, and Trailer and for coordinating their
delivery with meet directors.

(delete and renumber)f.	Hospitality:  The committee
shall be responsible for exploring potential meeting
sites (with final approval of the PMS committee) and
for the provision of beverages and snack items
(including purchase and set up/clean up of such items)
for the monthly PMS meeting. This committee shall be
responsible for the maintenance of PMS Safety Signs
and Stopwatches and coordinate their delivery with
meet directors


OFFICIALS CLINIC
The Sierra Marlins Swim Team will be hosting a Stroke
and Turn clinic immediately after the Saturday
swimming session of their meet on November 20th.  It
will be held at the Folsom Aquatic Complex.

PACIFIC SWIMMING TO HOLD CLUB LEADERSHIP AND BUSINESS
MANAGEMENT SCHOOL
Pacific Swimming is holding a club leadership and
business management school at the Holiday Inn, Oakland
Airport on Saturday, December 11th.

It will cover
   the ten basic responsibilities of a board
   three legal responsibilities of a nonprofit board
   How to more effectively recruit and retain
volunteers
   Characteristics of an effective board- staff
partnership
   How to govern more and manage less

This is a free event, but they are asking for
preregistration so they know how many lunches to
order. This sounds like a great opportunity for
swimming clubs to become more efficient.
