MONTHLY PACIFIC MASTERS MEETING
The January monthly meeting for Pacific Masters will be this
Wednesday, January 19th. NOTE, It will be held at Heather Farms, in
Walnut Creek. (In the building across from the pool complex). All
members are encourage to attend. The meeting will start promptly at
USMS ONE HOUR POSTAL
This is a great event for seeing how your long distance swimming has
improved over the past year. All it takes is a 25 yard pool and
someone to count for you. Set yourself up a goal. Maybe 25 yard than
you did last year.

For those swimming the one hour swim they can also enter the Tam one
THE CLAM BAKE
Saturday the 22nd is the Monterey Bay Masters Bob Walton Swim Meet.
The preentry deadline is Sunday January 16th.
Ken Fritto measured the pool - it measured at 75ft 1 inch. (for those
who are concerned - pools have normally measuared out about 1 inch
long). It will be officially measured on Saturday.
OLYMPIC CLUB MILE
The Olympic Club Mile is Sunday, January 23. The meet will take place
in the new Olympic Club Pool at 665 Sutter Street. This is a great
chance to see and swim in the Olympic Clubs fast new pool. The mile
is only 66 lengths of the pool.
FOG CITY QUADRATHON
The Fog City Quadrathod is Sunday, January 30th, 2005 at the Herbst Natatorium.
USF LOOKING FOR OFFICIALS
USF is looking for certified officals for it Valentines Day meet. If
you are certified and willing to help, please contact Bryan Andrews

INTERESTING WEB SITES
In the Blue Shield of California member news letter, there was a
mention of two web sites. The first was one to find out your risk for
cancer, stroke, osteoporosis and other serious diseases at
and other on how old are you now - to find out your real age
2005 is almost here. You can now re-register for the 2005 year.
Part of your registration fee pays for Pacific Masters Swimming so we
can provide services to you. Services that include, competitive
swimming program, secondary insurance for your club, the Pacific
Masters web site and the newsletter. Join early!!
Your registration also pays for the magazine from USMS on swimming.
If you are a non-athlete member of US Swimming (to be a coach,
official or marshal), it is time to reregister with them.
DID YOU MOVE
If you have moved, please let our registrar know. They you will be
sure to receive Swim Magazine, and the Pacific Masters newsletter. It
is simple to let the registrar know that you have moved, just to to
and fill out the form. Then your address will be updated.
