MEETS
The Reno's Winners results have been posted to the web site. The Reno 
meet was the first SCY meet of the season and the last meet of the 
year. Thanks to the Sierra Nevada Masters for putting on the meet.

EVEN MODERATE EXERCISE BOOTS LONGEVITY STUDY SAYS
Sorry, couch potatoes -- the verdict is in: People who exercise 
regularly really do live longer.

In fact, people who get a good workout almost daily can add nearly 
four years to their lives, according to the first study to quantify 
the impact of physical activity this way.

XI FINA WORLD MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Meet book for the XI FINA World Masters Championships has been 
posted on line. The has the meet sheets, the schedule and many things 
you would need to know about the meet. It also has the meet entry 
forms. Early entry is encourage.

SPLASH
For those who have access to USA Swimming's Splash Magazine, there 
are two very good articles in this month's issue. "Aletered 
Landscape" talks about the major swimming changes in swimming over 
the past 40 years. "The Altitude Monkey" is about the 1968 Mexico 
City Olympics.

NEW YEAR REGISTRATION
It is that time again - time to re-register. The 2006 year will be a 
big one for Pacific Masters Members. There will be the three annual 
championships as well as the XI FINA World Championships will be held 
next year at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center. This will be a great 
time to compete in great competitive conditions.

It is very important that clubs re-register, as we cannot register 
members for a club UNTIL the club is registered.

For athletes that wish to change clubs without an extra cost, you can 
register with a new club without waiting 60 to compete.
