BREASTSTOKE IN THE FREESTYLE EVENT
For those swimmers who would like to swim the Breaststroke in the
Freestyle event, please be aware of the freestyle rule, that past 15
meters some part of the swimmers body must be above the water. Most
breaststrokes have an undulating motion where they will be submerged
during part of the cycle.

If you receive a DQ for this infraction, remember it is a freestyle
event and you must comply with the Freestyle rules.

GO THE DISTANCE
It looks like USMS will again have the GO THE DISTANCE Challenge. I
would urge swimmers to track their swimms for the a while until the
2008 forms are posted on the USMS Web site. To participate just log
your workout yardage.

For those who are participating in the Go The Distance, the January
millage should be sent it by tomorrow.
