Update on Pacific Masters Swimming sent to members and friends. Tue Jun 9 23:39:53 EDT 2009

PACIFIC MASTERS MISSION STATEMENT:
As adopted by the Pacific Masters Committee the Mission of Pacific Masters is:

Pacific Masters Swimming welcomes anyone who would like to gain and
maintain fitness through swimming and encourages programs to foster
this mission.

Pacific Masters Swimming has issued a Masters sanction for the Santa
Clara International swim meet 11 June through 14 June. This is a
combined meet sanctioned by both USA-S and USMS with all swimmers
competing according to USA-S rules. Masters swimmers have to meet
qualifying times to enter this meet. The entry deadline is Wednesday,
June 10. To enter the meet as a Masters swimmer, you need to contact
Debbie Santos (925-521-0522) by tomorrow Wednesday 10 June. Any
masters swimmers who have already entered the meet can change their
affiliation to their masters club if they want by contacting Debbie.

The dual sanctioning of meets by both USA Swimming and USMS is a new
concept added to Appendix B of the Rule Book for 2009 (page 123).
Note that Members of each organization must use separate warmup and
warm-down lanes throughout the meet, including the periods prior to
and after the actual competition.

get off the email list -they go on a separate list, so that when we
add to next year, we try to keep people who want to be off the list
off the list. Sending emails to other than pacmasterupdate will not
keep our want to keep of the list list current.
