THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

SARA SNOEK
Sara Snoek passed away 26 July after a fight with leukemia. She was
active up one week before her death swimming in the pool on the Crown
Princess during a trip to Norway. Masters swimming was a key part of
her life as she up in her 100 laps faithfully four times a week with
the North Bay Aquatics group in Tiburon. She and her husband Peter
would participate together at many domestic and international swim
meets over the past 30 years.

STAN ALDRICH
William Stanley "Stan" Aldrich passed away on 2 August. He swam both
open water and pool meets and did very well in both. After his
engineering days, he and his wife Nancy volunteered for Loves and
Fishes, Senior Gleanors and several other church related activities.

SUSAN HELMRICH
Susan Helmrich, will be undergoing surgery for cancer (neuroendocrine
pancreatic tumor) on August 20, 2009. This is Susan's third cancer
diagnosis, the first was 32 years ago, just after she graduated from
Syracuse University, where she was captain of the varsity women's
swim team. Although this cancer was found early and is treatable, it
is in a very difficult place, and Susan is expected to be at Stanford
Hospital from 1 to 4 weeks. Susan is currently the Bay Area
Co-Director for Swim Across America.
