FRESNO SHORT COURSE YARDS MEET
November 7th is the date for the Fresno Short Course Yards meet. The
meet starts at 1 PM so there is plenty of time to drive down from
the bay area. This was the venue of the 2009 US Masters Swimming
Short Course Yards National Championships. You can still use your
"fun" swim suits at this meet.

CELEBRATE YOUR SWIM FITNESS
Linda Shoenberger wrote the October Fitness Article of the Month on
"Celebrate your Swim Fitness."
"I often hear people complaining about "having" to go work out. It
never enters my mind that swimming for fitness is a chore or
something I "have" to do."

USMS HQ VIDEO TOUR AND CLUB UP DAY
This past Saturday, under the direction of our forewoman Laura Hamel
who is also our editor-in-chief (Laura has spent more than a month
obtaining permitting and navigating city permission. Laura also
rallied the clean up day volunteers), we hosted our USMS clean up
day. We can not give enough thanks to the more than 30 masters
swimming volunteers that showed up to help.
We recognize that so many of our volunteers have looked forward to
the day that USMS would have a headquarters. A headquarters that can
pay homage to the years of dedication, service and passion for our
mission. We each can take great pride in how USMS is growing and
celebrating our culture.
