PACIFIC MASTERS MISSION STATEMENT:
As adopted by the Pacific Masters Committee the Mission of Pacific Masters is:

Pacific Masters Swimming welcomes anyone who would like to gain and
maintain fitness through swimming and encourages programs to foster
this mission.

PACIFIC MASTERS ANNUAL MEETING
The Pacific Masters Swimming Annual meeting will be on 18 November.
The annual meeting is a pot luck that will be at the meeting room at
Heather Farms, Walnut Creek, starting at 7:00 PM.

Proposed Slate of Officers for 2010-2012.
Chair - Michael Moore
VP Administration - Leianne Crittenden
VP Operations - Jim Clemmons
Secretary - Joan Alexander
Treasurer - Kildine Harms
At-Large: Jody Smith
All member are invited to attend. Each club is asked to send one member.

Besides voting on the executive committee, the committee will also be
voting on changes in the By-laws and changes in Pacific Masters policy


16th Annual Reno Winners Meet
The 16th Annual Reno Winners Meet will be held at the Northwest Pool
in Reno, Nevada, Saturday December 5th 2009. The meet begins at noon
so there is plenty of time for swimmers west of the Sierra to travel
on I80 to get to the meet.

DAM BRUTE SQUAD POSTAL
Davis Aquatic Masters is starting a new postal event - the DAM Brute
Squad Postal. This event is the 200 Fly, followed by the 400 IM
followed by the 1650 Free (or as Jim Clemmons said "It is 300 Fly,
followed by the 100 back, then the 100 Breast, and the 1750 free).

There is also another Brute Squad event (Brute Squad Light) - the
difference is that in the BSL, the swimming must swim the events on
the same day as opposed to swimming it in 90 minutes:

H2OPEN
U.S. Masters Swimming will introduce its newest open water initiative
in 2010: H2Open Series.

The H2Open Series will include four events in 2010 and use its reach
to increase the awareness and participation in open water events
across the country. According to U.S. Masters Swimming Executive
Director, Rob Butcher, "While the H2Open Series events will be
competitive, they will also offer companion clinic opportunities
intended to cater to the novice or fitness open water enthusiasts."

The events in the inaugural H2Open Series will include Lake Berryessa.

U.S. Masters Swimming Members can swap out apparel with the old USMS
logo and receive 30% off apparel sporting the new USMS logo. Three
dealers are participating in the Apparel Swap: Kast-A-Way, Kiefer and
All-American Swim Supply. Check out their websites or catalogs to
choose your new apparel.

Swap Form, and ship it to the dealer of your choice
* Your dealer will contact you to take your order for
