For the past two weeks, I was on vacation traveling to Seattle then a cruise to Alaska then back again. It was great!!

I saw the splendor of Mt St Helens. I had seen many pictures of the mountain and the destruction it wrought, but it is nothing like being on Johnston Ridge, 5 miles from the mountain to see how very big the mountain is and the amount of earth that it moved one day in May 1980.

Alaska was beautiful, but did not see the sun there. It was cloudy, but I enjoyed it. We took the train from Skagway to White Pass, took the tram from the dock to the Mt Roberts and tried not to eat too much when we were out to sea on the cruise.

I wanted to get the Update out today, however, there are still some results to post and pages to update on the website. I hope to get this done during the week.

Have a good week
