NEW YEAR REGISTRATION
It is that time again - time to re-register. The 2006 year will be a
big one for Pacific Masters Members. There will be the three annual
championships as well as the XI FINA World Championships will be held
next year at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center. This will be a great
time to compete in great competitive conditions.

It is very important that clubs re-register, as we cannot register
members for a club UNTIL the club is registered.

For athletes that wish to change clubs without an extra cost, you can
register with a new club without waiting 60 to compete.

Opportunity Knocks
- Swim for Malaria!
Pacific Masters Swimming encourages you to support the World Swim for
Malaria, a global grassroots swimming initiative partnering with
PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Speedo, and Microsoft that can be swum on or
before December 3rd. The goal is to have a million people participate
in this event. 100% of all monies raised will go toward the purchase
and installation of mosquito netting - the single most effective way
of preventing malaria.

Though we don't experience malaria first hand here in the US, at
least a million people die from malaria each year. Some put the
estimates as high as 2.7 million. 70% of the deaths are of children
under 5. You can find all the information you need at
http://www.worldswimformalaria including sponsorship forms, how to
collect and submit donations, the background and goals of this event,
and the pledges of participation of individuals, groups, Masters
teams, and corporate organizations around the world.

You can swim this event at Stanford Swimming pool this event on
December 3rd or you can organize this event at your own pool. Pacific
Masters encourages you and your friends and teammates to join in this
effort to make a real difference in the world.
To be considered will be the Dispute Resolution. It is proposed to
change the Administrative Handbook to:

PROPOSED CHANGE FOR DISPUTE RESOLUTION

all possible.

B. Disputes arising within a single club shall be filed directly with

C. Disputes arising between two clubs shall be attempted to be
resolved between the clubs. If resolution attempts are unsuccessful,
both clubs shall file a written summary of their dispute with the
Chairmen of Pacific Masters Swimming.

D. If a dispute arises outside of competition, or cannot be resolved
at the event, the complainant shall inform the Chairman of Pacific
Masters Swimming, in writing, of the nature and details of the
