US Masters Swimming Summer Championships (Long Course) - Deadline last Thursday - If you missed it Try it see what happens
The US Masters Swimming Summer Championships (Long Course) will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico 9-12 August (Monday- Thursday). The pool is a very fast ten lane by 50 meter pool with a diving tank for warm up. This will be a great place for a vacation - to see old San Juan or relax on the beach.

PACIFIC MASTERS MONTHLY MEETING - 14 July
The monthly meeting of Pacific Masters Swimming will be held at Heather Farms, Walnut Creek California. Buffet is at 7pm, meeting starts at 7:30. All members are invited to attend and all teams are asked to send a representative to the meeting.

Pacific Masters Long Course Championships -
The 2010 Pacific Masters Long Course Championships are history, Thanks to Joel Wilson, Pancho Wrangle and the Santa Cruz Masters for organizing this years Championships. Results have been posted.

Congratulations to USF Masters who took the team championships with Walnut Creek coming in second and Olympic Club 3rd.

Open Water 101
An open water clinic for novices. Want to swim open water, but not sure what to do? Concerned about cold water, crowded starts, open water “culture”?
This Open Water 101 is a way to get started. Taught by local/national/international open water swimmers. Dryland talk by Suzanne Heim-Bowen. In water drills, optional course swim. Catfish Crawl - 25 July 2010
The Catfish Crawl Open Water Swim will be held at the scenic UVAS Reservoir, Morgan Hill, California. This is the new race to the Pacific Masters Schedule and is in pretty place in the south bay.

Russian River Challenge Fast Approaching

They are offering age group as well as masters 500 meter, and 1 mile swims. The summer dam is up and the water looks great! Bring the whole family and picnic in Healdsburg or do some wine tasting after the swims. There will be a couple of lunch raffle prizes as well as a free nights stay at the world class Dry Creek Inn. Rough Water Swim - Santa Cruz
The one Mile Santa Cruz Rough Water swim will be held on Saturday 31 July. The preentry postmark deadline is Monday 19 July 2010. The Rough Water Swim is one of the most popular Pacific Masters Swim.

Donner Lake Swim
The very popular Donner Lake swim is 7th August. There is a limit on the number of swimmers that can enter the event. If you want to swim Donner this year, NOW is the time to enter, before it is filled.

Registrar Office Limited Service
The registrar's office will have limited service 23 July through 15 August 2010. The registrar will have limit access to email (please do not expect an instant reply). Nancy will be US representative at the FINA Masters Committee that will be meeting and working at the World Championships being held in Sweden. If need a PacMasters card, please see above.


ALAMEDA AQUATIC MASTERS LOOKING FOR COACH
Alameda Aquatic Masters (AAM) has an opening for Head Coach. This position will be responsible for coaching 11 workouts per week. Duties include designing swim workouts for varying levels of swimmer ability and interest and providing up-to-date coaching techniques and instruction to team members. There is a minor amount of administrative work. The Head Coach is supported by the AAM Board of Directors. We are looking for an individual who is energetic, motivated, organized, and can communicate effectively with adult recreational and competitive swimmers.
